![]() I really wish that I'd get like FLAC like songs from YouTube music, I pay 18 EUR/month (I share with my family members) and for someone like me who shares a lot from Torrent, I'm really thinking of trying to find again some FLAC alternatives, but I'm paying for it so I'm quite worried.Įxcuse my English, I am French and can explain more well. Tested with a FLAC music file I downloaded, can go up to 90% of the max volume output from the linux PC to the main PC and the quality is very nice. Tested on Spotify, I hear that less and I can go up to 60% but not more which is starting to crack again and it is not good to hear. at 50%, if more, it starts crackling on my main PC headphones, a proof that there is compression somewhere. I use YT music to send from my Linux laptop the signal sound on my main PC sound-card and the play it on the headphones.įrom the linux computer, the volum must be max. I've been using YT Music since it is available in Europe. On a side note, if you are not already using it I highly recommend: ytmdesktop Has anyone else noticed a difference between YTM and Spotify? You can enlarge a jpeg photo, but if the original photo was poor quality the resized photo will also suffer. While Spotify may offer higher bitrates, that does not necessarily mean better quality. To me I would have a hard time differentiating between it and Tidal, and considering YTM was free the choice was clear. It seems like YTM uses a much better source master or encoding for their music. This means that if you really care about the quality of your audio, we suggest going with either. Spotify on the other hand, I could tell a difference between it and both Tidal and YTM. Google Play Music and Spotify stream their audio at 320 kbps. On pretty much all the YTM songs (except for some video versions) I couldn't tell a difference between Tidal. YouTube Music, meanwhile, potentially offers the largest music library imaginable, even if it can be a bit more unwieldy to navigate and has limited flexibility. Spotify offers a slick, smooth service which plays nicely with pretty much any device you could mention. I then remember YTM, and since I had a few days left in my Tidal trial, I compared the three services. Spotify vs YouTube Music is a hard one to call as the services are so different. After listening to Tidal for a month I couldn't bear how some songs sounded, it felt like I was missing out on the full potential of my headphones. ![]() ![]() This leads to my trial of Tidal ending, and not really wanting to spend money on it I tried Spotify again. Either way Tidal seemed to have a much wider sound-stage. I have Sennheiser IE 40 Pro headphones, and on some songs I could tell a noticeable difference (specifically in the highs) while others sounded close to the same. I noticed how much more depth Tidal had than Spotify. My perception of Spotify changed when I tried Tidal music for a few months. For the past several years Spotify was my go-to, with YTM being used when I didn't feel like signing into Spotify on another computer.
